Tales Of A Grandmother Newsletter 25th April 2022
Some of you will be conversant with the creation of your own websites but for me it was a difficult and problematic activity putting together and developing the initial talesofagrandmother.com website!
With help from a friend, Janelle, the website has been recast into a more friendly format and information content updated.
This has allowed me to add in…………………
-
The book details of ‘The Wonders of the Black Sea’.
-
The e-book version links.
-
Additional space to allow me to refer to the donations made to both the pancreatic cancer charity and to a Ukrainian charity too.
-
A short intro video of the first pages of both books.
-
An email link to give the opportunity for any readers to leave comments or book reviews.
-
Additional illustrations that I thought visitors to the website would find interesting.
-
Charity Donations
The Pancreatic Cancer donations to date have generated £374.50
Feedback Emails
Feedback from readers is so important because, on the one hand, it is a way of keeping in contact and on the other it provides information from those who have read or who have a particular interest in the book contents.
Please do not hesitate to drop me a note and give me your views – talesofagrandmother@yahoo.com
Was Lockdown important to me?
Yes – Because Audrey’s Book – processing from manuscript to published version, including photographs – needed this germination period for…
Individually we have learned of different ways
To occupy ourselves during lockdown’s phase
Using time and talents as we please
To do something useful -a job to seize!
For me it’s been co-author in a book
All new it was and much time it took,
But now ‘The Wonders of Nepal’ is done and dusted
With ‘The Wonders of the Black Sea’ also busted.
So, if “talesofagrandmother” you might enjoy
You could read these if you’ve time to employ,
Purchase as you wish – online or Bookshop.
Then to cherish it, as an enjoyable read, on a coffee stop.
Audrey’s book sales also generate a small stream of money
To help the charity Pancreatic cancer on its lifesaving journey.
In April and May proceeds from ‘The Wonders of The Black Sea’ book sales,
Will be given to a Ukraine Family Aid Charity – a good use of Audrey’s Tales.
(As indicated in the poem all proceeds from ‘The Wonders of The Black Sea’ Book Sales will be donated in the foreseeable future, on humanitarian grounds, to a Ukrainian Charity. I hope that you may consider a purchase of this book in order to help this worthy cause.)
And after the Wonders of Nepal and the Black Sea Books?
‘The Wonders of South America’ – In two Volumes
South America is a wonderfully interesting continent to visit. Audrey was fast so fascinated with all that she saw that she really made copious notes and the results of that, and my photographs, is that one volume is inadequate and as a consequence I am developing 2 volumes on ‘The Wonders of South America’.

Audrey and I had an amazing journey through this large continent starting in the Northeast in Amazonia and gradually working our away South through the rest of Brazil, Argentina, The Pampas, Southern Patagonia and into Chile crossing the Andes via the lakes.
This trip continued north through Chile into Peru and of course into Cusco and onto Machu Picchu.
Going back through Audrey’s text, for me, brings back many happy memories; an exciting journey; and the privilege of meeting many wonderful people.
My endeavors are to have both volumes published this year. Drop me a line and I will let you know when these are published.
Thank you for reading my Newsletter. I hope that you found it interesting.
To each I pass on my kindest regards and best wishes,
